Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus

"Never tickle a sleeping dragon"

It's good advice that! Trust me, I am a Hogwarts Ghost after all! How do you think I got here in the first place? Anyway, I am here to guide you around the castle and even take you on trips around the wizarding world, so that you become fully accustomed to this way of life! All witches and wizards need to know a thing or two about the wizarding world, because otherwise you'd be missing out on an awful lot. So, grab your travelling cloak and lets get going.

Hogwarts houses

There are four houses in Hogwarts, each with its own house ghost and head of house. The houses were named after the four founders of Hogwarts and are as follows:

Griffindor   (Godric Griffindor)

Ravenclaw   (Rowena Ravenclaw)

Hufflepuff   (Helga Hufflepuff)

Slytherin   (Salazaar Slytherin)

The current Headmistress of Hogwarts is Professor Minerva McGonagall. This is a recent change in staff due to the devestating murder of Albus Dumbledore. (Who was Headmaster for 25 years and whose portrait is now hanging in the Heads' office, along with those of the Headmasters of the past.) Yet, as Dumbledore once said: "To a well organised mind, death is only begining." So let us all pray that this is not truely the end, for he was a very wize and a very great Headmaster, who will be greatly missed.

I recieved an owl not too long ago, which informed me that only witches and wizards of the age of thirteen and over may attend the Tri-Wizard Tournament. (Friday November 18th 2005) Those aged 12, however, may attend if accompanied by an adult :) The reason for this ministry decision is simply because some of the tasks are a little - unnerving, for those of a slightly nervous or delicate disposition!
